For Twice in My Life by Annette Christie
Summary
I expected this to be a "While You Were Sleeping" and it wasn't.
.....I feel personally attacked by the description of Layla's coffee table in the first chapter....and by Layla in general, and like....the family relations....
Do I need someone to hold me back from throwing hands in regards to Layla's family....probably. But also, as a youngest sibling, I relate.
Matt is adorable and a cutie pie, and I will not be taking comments. Is it because he can bake...maybe...there are other reasons. I will protect him.
Artsy people being artsy and parents being ok with it. I'm not crying....
Also this is where I get on my soap box about how important open honest communication is, even if it's uncomfy.
I was really concerned for how they were going to wrap everything up because there was like...30 pages, but they did it, so that's good.
I kind of wish there had been like...an epilogue.

TS: Layla describes Matt as having James Dean vibes. Me: Style.

The Rehearsals by Annette Christie
I am uncomfortable and anxious, and it's like being with the family for the holidays all over again.
don't mind me over here....screaming about boundaries and therapy and stuff.
sfjkldsfjkldsfjkldsfdjkl mostly because I love Tom. he's great. he's a boy which means he....you know is a guy, but he's cool. he's doing his best.
Can we just all hug Tom please.
"blankets were grandad's love language" same.

The Rehearsals by Annette Christie
Two people. One wedding. No end in sight.
Megan Givens and Tom Prescott are heading into what is supposed to be their magical wedding weekend on beautiful San Juan Island. But with two difficult families, ten years of history, and all too many secrets, things quickly go wrong. After a disastrous rehearsal dinner they vow to call the whole thing off—only to wake up the next morning stuck together in a time loop. Are they really destined to relive the worst day of their lives, over and over? And what happens if their wedding day does arrive?"
I liked this a lot, the writing was nice! Although, not nearly as "funny" as I expected. It was sort of sad honestly.
Who knew a move to MISSOURI could break a couple up??! I don't think I've read the word "Missouri" so often in any fiction book.
