Hot as Puck by Lili Valente

Hot as Puck (Bad Motherpuckers, #1)Hot as Puck by Lili Valente
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this, but I have read another book that was pretty much the same story line. I just think that it could have been much better or something more in the story to draw me in.

Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill

Being Sloane JacobsBeing Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This one charmed my socks right off, which was the last thing I expected.

It's a classic Parent Trap situation, where two teenagers, both named Sloane Jacobs meet up. One Sloane is a hockey player, and the other is a figure skater. They've been exiled to Canada to attending skating camps, against their wishes. When they have a luggage mix-up at the hotel, they have to meet up to sort things out. That's when they decide they look similar enough that with the same names, they could totally swap places, in order to avoid spending the summer working towards things they both dread, for various reasons.

Since I'm a sucker for all things Parent Trap, this one really clicked with me. You get to see both the girls change, grow, and confront their own personal demons. Plus, it has a really delightful ending, as should any Parent Trap-eque situation.

This book made me happy.

The Summer Games Series

Settling the Score (The Summer Games, #1)Settling the Score by R.S. Grey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this book!! A lot of sports romance books don't have much talk about the sports, it was nice to see that this book actually talked about the sports that they played.

This was a quick read! I am excited to see where the series goes from here. I went back and fourth on what rating to give this book, because it was so short. It was really good for how short it is.

Rhett isn't a douchebag at all like the first two books. He is such a super sweet guy, that moves to a new town for college and wrestling. He new team mates play stupid pranks on him, one of them is how he meets Laurel. It was really great to see how these two start to fall for each other.

Fire on Ice Series by Brenda Rothert

Edge Drive Release
Fire on Ice Series by Brenda Rothert
Edge 240 Pages
Drive 214 Pages
Release 184 Pages
Edge: I was excited to get to know Luke better and I thought that Adella was perfect for him. I could see how this story was going to end pretty early on though, but I really enjoyed the way that it all came together. Also there was a kid in this book and I really enjoy having them in the story.

Drive: Oh Sadie.... I loved her from the last book. This books started off so funny and I knew that it was going to be different than the first few books. Than when Sadie is babysitting was just perfect that just showed how great Sadie and Nikola are. I was glad to see that this all worked out for them both, because Sadie had no family and Nikola would do anything for his family.

Release: Orion was by far the sweetest guy in all the books! He just was so sweet and what he does for his family is just amazing!! Samara has a awful past and I was glad to see that he could pull her out of the rut she was in.

Fire on Ice Series by Brenda Rothert
Bound 243 Pages
Captive 234 Pages
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, it is about the same couple and the hard times they go through to make their relationship work and deal with all the grief they both dealt with in the past. Ryker (Jason) is a great guy and you can see that from the first book all the way to the end. I also have a feeling the next book is going to be about Luke, which I can't wait to hear more about him. He just seems like such a great guy just like Ryker.

Bleachers

 Bleachers
by John Grisham
Pages: 229
Rating: 4 out of 5

This is a story about a football in a small town, about how one man can affect a whole county for the better and for the worse and how in the end all that really matters isn't how you played the game, but who you are and can you forgive?

A quick read, with a deeper story than I expected from a "small town football tale." One of Grisham's strengths as a writer is challenging the reader to think about the issues in the lives of his characters and how these issues are something similar affects them. A worthwhile read even if you are not a sports fan or from a small town, though I think those from more rural areas will be able to relate more to the characters.

The Blackhawk Boys by Lexi Ryan

Going Under (The Blackhawk Boys, #3)Going Under by Lexi Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Summary: After two years of leading separate lives, our worlds have collided. Now that she's back home working and taking classes beside me, she's bound to make my lose my mind. I keep my distance because we didn't meet for the first time today. We met five years ago when I was different person. When my demons ruled me. Even though I've changed - even though I've gotten my life together and become a better man - I can't change the past. And the secrets that haunt me would destroy her.

My Review: I really enjoyed this book. Alexandra is just trying to move forward from what happened to her sister five years ago. She also needs to move past the fact that she doesn't feel like she should have been the one to make it out of the accident. I really enjoyed how through out this book, they go into the past and show what was happening to Sebastian and Alex in the past. I also really enjoyed the journal from her sister, this gives you a view of what her sister was going through during the last few months of her life.

274 Pages

Falling Hard (The Blackhawk Boys, #4)Falling Hard by Lexi Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Summary: Former actress Emma Rothschild is partying in Vegas in disguise. But I'm fooled. Five years ago, I knew that body better than my own, and I haven't forgotten a single detail - not the curve of her hip beneath my hand or the hitch in her breath when I kiss her neck. When Emma's unexpectedly left alone in Sin City, I agree to spend the weekend with her. As friends. Why not? If I can knock down the toughest guys in the NFL, I'm strong enough to keep my hand to myself, even if she is the sexiest woman I've ever met.

My Review: I was excited this was Keegan's story. You meet him in the first few books and you realize that he is a great guy, even though he missed around with someone at the same time as another player. Which he didn't know about because they where keeping their relationship a secret. I was very disappointed with Olivia in this book. She was just an awful person and it's hard to think that she is Sebastian's sister, because he was such a nice guy. Olivia is just hateful of the girl that always held Keegan's heart.

Pucked Series by Helena Hunting

Pucked Over (Pucked, #3)Pucked Over by Helena Hunting
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great book! I was excited that this book was about Lily because I really liked how she was looking out for Sunny her best friend in the last book. Randy truly is a great guy but just lets what his dad control what type of person he thinks that he will become. I was glad to see the progress that he made through the book and he turned out to be a great guy.  350 Pages

Pucked Off (Pucked, #5)Pucked Off by Helena Hunting
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book didn’t have as much humor as the first few, but that is okay. This one also had a deeper story. You meet Lance in the first book because all of these guys are friends. When I first meet him I really didn’t know what to think because he sounded like trouble. Than when he started dating someone I thought it would come around. It was a big shocker to find out how crazy that girl was. I am glad that he got the happy ending because what his family dealt with in the past was rough.  400 Pages

Pucked Love (Pucked, #7)Pucked Love by Helena Hunting

It took me a little longer to know that I would like this book as much as the first books. It was shocking to see what type of relationship Charlene and Darren have. While it took me a little longer to know that I would like this book as much as the others I did like it just as much!  352 Pages

This was book 4 of a series that I started a while ago and was waiting for this to come out on audio. I enjoyed this book but not near as much as I enjoyed the first 3. Fallen Crest High by Tijan

Logan Kade (Fallen Crest High, #5.5)Logan Kade by Tijan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was really excited for Logan’s story. The first few books Sam and Mason where the main characters so it was nice to see a little more into Logan’s way of thinking. I was hoping that him and Heather would end up together but in the end I was still very happy with the person that he ends up with, she is perfect for him. They have a great story.  302 Pages

Fallen Crest Home (Fallen Crest High, #6)Fallen Crest Home by Tijan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

At first I thought this book was going to be all about Sam’s mom. Since that is what it started out as, but I was glad to see that they moved onto better things. I was glad that her mother got the help that she needed, but I don’t think that  could figure her for all the hateful things that she did in the past. The ending of this book was just crazy!! I am glad that I was able to move onto the next book right away.  300 Pages

Fallen Crest Forever (Fallen Crest High #7)Fallen Crest Forever by Tijan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, I am very happy with the way that this series ended, however, at the same time I am sad that its over. I was very happy with the way that they ended the long journey that Sam and Mason went on. This final book you got to see them all grown up and finally dealing with all their mistakes in the past. They have grown so much as characters since book one.  356 Pages

Dearest Series by Lex Martin

Dearest Series by Lex Martin
Dearest Clementine (370 Pages) Avery is trying to move on from her past and has a hard time learning to let people in after all the things that happened to her.

Finding Dandelion (310 Pages) I was excited that this book was about Jax (Clementine brother), and was nice to see what was going on with his life. Dani is Clementine's roommate, she is just one of the sweetest people.

Kissing Madeline (260 Pages) Daren is Jax's best friend and Clementine's ex-boyfriend. Even though he explained why he treated Clementine the way he did.. I wasn't for sure how I would feel about having a book about him. However, I was wrong because I begin to like Daren as much as the other men in the series.
