House of Roots and Ruin by Erin A Craig

There was romance potential and it was slow burn but it was so slow burn that I'm pretty sure it was still embers which is really frustrating.
If this is just a companion novel and doesn't have a sequel, I will be committing arson.....For reasons. Because I have thoughts. very loud thoughts. About the ending.
Like....the climax/falling action/conclusion felt really rushed, and maybe that was intentional, but like. I'm just frustrated

I love the atmosphere of the book and it's style, because it has the gothic vibes.
That ending though...I was really afraid for a hot sec..
Insert all the Tangled gifs for no context.
....This book actually made me cry... Crap.
