An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

Summary: "After seventeen-year-old prodigy portraitist Isobel receives her first royal patron, the fairies' autumn prince Rook, she makes a terrible mistake that upends her world."

(a re-read)

The cover? Still stunning.

The need for a sequel or novella? More intense than ever.

Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson

Yes. This is the same artist as the one who did The Princess Will Save You. But I also love this author....and all of her covers are done by Charlie Bowater. Don't at me. I like what I like.
Oh back in the day when lay people weren't involved in the liturgy--sacristan, lectors.

Nathaniel reminds me of Newt, but with more sass.... But also like Bartimeaus trilogy vibes
So the books in this book make me think of the book from Hocus Pocus.
The sass, y'all.

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

Summary: "A skilled painter must stand up to the ancient power of the faerie courts--even as she falls in love with a faerie prince--in this gorgeous debut novel."

Whew! What a fun first novel from Margaret Rogerson.

1. I am in love with the cover. Mostly, because she reminds me of Dany from GoT.
2. I laughed. A lot.
3. I was pulled in by an Alice in Wonderland feeling and it nicely reminded me of Heartless by Marissa Meyer.
4. Isobel has spunk and flaws and is human through and through.
5. I need more.
