Summary: ""In a world of magical motorcycle gangs, eighteen-year-old Jemmie Carmichael taps into her magical abilities to stop an evil spell before it can be fulfilled."
Okay, so what could you want more in a book than motorcycle clubs and magic?
Well, a sensible plot along with actual character development would be a place to start.
As I loved Jennifer Rush's Altered series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on her newest YA novel. And wow, I can't believe this book was actually published! It honestly felt like I was reading a first draft. I can't describe my disappointment with how flat the world-building is and timeline of the story. I wouldn't recommend reading this book to anyone.

Erased (Altered#2) by Jennifer Rush
Erased is the sequel to Altered, and I read it just as quickly. I'm almost upset at how quickly I read these books, because they were just addicting in the best way. As silly as the story sounds, Jennifer Rush does an amazing job at moving the plot along. She is quite the story-teller, and she doesn't bore you with inane details about every setting. The plot, action and characters (hot boys!) make these books quite the adrenaline rush.
I'm disappointed that the third book in the series, Reborn, is told from a different POV, which kind of ruins the appeal.

Altered by Jennifer Rush
Summary: "Seventeen-year-old Anna finds herself on the run from her father's enigmatic Branch, along with the four teen boys the Branch had been experimenting on, as they try to make sense of erased memories, secret identities, and genetic alteration."
Wow - I finished this one in just a day! I couldn't put it down, which is such a wonderful feeling. The description sounds a bit cheesy, but honestly, it was a great story. It moved quickly and therefore kept the reader engaged and on his/her toes.
On to #2!
