Kiss the Girl by Zoraida Cordova

Did I immediately hear "I Know A Place" by MUNA when I thought of the Seven Sirens performing
“Aurora grocery” I see you....
“Walking on glass” You mean.... Like the og fairytale
"No sleep stop til Brooklyn"
Bro you did not need to tear your shirt
I bet he’s one of the guys that says Taylor can’t write anything but bubblegum pop and that all of it sounds the same. 🙄
It's that one scene from Little Mermaid 2023 where Eric holds Ariel's hand to his heart after being rescued.

Soul of the Deep by Natasha Bowen

So I probably should have physically read this book instead of listening to it....cause like..... I missed stuff and there were new characters....'
the ending was cool.
Me still only knowing vague bits of West African mythology, so I'm kind of clueless

Prince of Song and Sea by Linsey Miller

*doesn't want to return the book, cause I jsut wanna stare at the cover.... I'm Ariel.... cause he's so beautiful. *prints out cover to stare at.
Absolute fluff... I love it. Like...obviously... It's a retelling of the movie, but from Eric's perspective, and it's expanded.
The Scuttle, Sebastian, and Flounder cameos.
Eric is one of my favorite princes cause like...he sees Ariel's excitement and joy and doesn't try to crush it and doesn't get annoyed by it... like...he loves her for it... also he loves her bravery....like...she might be reckless, but she's brave
My boy has friends
Also communication and developing a system of communication. so pure.
It's the emotional vulnerability and intimacy for me.
The cuteness
We stan Max.
When some of the chapters are named after the songs in the Broadway musical.
Also the epilogue.

To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

To Kill a KingdomTo Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a YA retelling of The Little Mermaid with a few delightful twists. It starts off strong, dark, and violent, which is captivating. The ending is also solid and dramatic, though I would have loved just a bit more wrap up.

Overall, this is an excellent read full of brutal sirens, charming pirates, royal drama, and a thorough amount of deception.
