Valiant by Holly Black

So.....I love Ravus.... I think I just like angsty angry boys who think that they're monsters.
"I can hold my breath" That's just a killer last line.

A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare

....So I remember some of the quotes from the time when they performed it in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody
"Though she is little, she is but fierce"
Robin Goodfellow is having too much fun...and yet he is working overtime.

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Summary: "Jude was seven when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, Jude wants nothing more than to belong there, despite her mortality. But many of the fey despise humans. Especially Prince Cardan, the youngest and wickedest son of the High King.

To win a place at the Court, she must defy him–and face the consequences."

I stayed up waaaaay too late reading this one! I had been in the mood for a fae story, and whew, this is certainly a fae story.

The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa

The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey:Call of the Forgotten Book 5) by [Kagawa, Julie]I am so happy to see my babies again. Even if it's basically only cameos... I missed Puck and I didn't realize how much I missed him.
I totally called Kenzie's backstory....but I know how to read vibes.... But seriously Kenzie and her relationship with dogs must be protected at all costs.
Grimalkin...never changes. He is a cat.
...Someone talks to an adult.. I am so proud.
I love the concept of the new fey.

I love Cardan because he knows how amazing and fierce his woman is...
Jude I love you. You is fierce and you is smart.
...I need more than an epilogue...That's...that's not the end.
Are there some Christ metaphors... Yes. At least to me.. But spoilers
To scheming and more scheming.

The Wicked King by Holly Black

The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air Book 2) by [Black, Holly]I live for mildly vindictive scheming, and doing things out of spite.
Playing life like a chess board and moving people around like puppets
Girls who can fight with swords and who can be crafty when they need to be...
And you can see someone digging themselves into a very dangerous hole, but hey it's cool to watch them try to get out of it.
Enemies to  friends  whatever the heck that is...
I love heroes who act like villains and who have the heart of a villain... Problematic faves..
...Plot twists, y'all...

Did they really make a shout-out to that anime (which will not be named)...too soon, bro..

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

I love Jude because she's different than most female protagonists. That's not to say that other female protagonists are bad, but rather that Jude screams a mixture of Slyterin and Ravenclaw with dashes of Gryffindor thrown in (which basically tells you nothing). I loved listening to her thought process, and trying to keep up with her strategies. She is fierce and has such a drive. And let's just say that I (like basically any other fangirl I know) have a thing for angsty boys with issues and an infatuation (an overstatement here) with the color black... I may or may not have hit myself because someone was being stupid and not noticing feelings...teenagers I guess.

As a side note, plot twists are my jam....

A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)
by Sarah J. Maas
Pages: 416
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Feyre is the youngest of a once wealthy family, that is now one of the poorest in their village. Her father was injured so feeding her family rests on Feyre. She teaches herself to hunt and skin the animals to sell the hides for money. Her family lives at the edge of the forest and they are struggling to make it through this long, cold winter. Feyre spots a deer, but then realizes it is being tracked by a wolf. The deer is the only thing she has seen all day so she decides she must kill the wolf to have the deer meat for her family.

Unknown to her, this is no ordinary wolf and its death starts her on a journey into a whole new world. The world of faerie.
