Kasie West's books are my vacation go-to. Simple and sweet. Charming. This was the best kind of book to read while at a cabin on the lake. 

It sure was interesting reading about a love interest with the same first name as my own love interest. <3

Moment of Truth is the third book in Kasie West's "Love, Life, and the List" series/shared universe. The first book is still my favorite, so it's nice to see Abby and Cooper pop up in these later installments. Events in this book make a bit more sense now that I've read the second book...:D

The second book in Kasie West's series "Love, Life, and the List," which I accidentally read out of order! I didn't realize she had created a series with a shared universe. Kasie's books are simple & sweet, which makes for an easy read. I love to read her books while on vacation in Minnesota. I hope she writes for a long time!

Kasie West's latest book was the perfect vacation read, as usual! I laughed out loud multiple times, Abby is quite the witty MC. I loved every minute of reading this book :)

This was adorable, but I love Kasie West and the whole fall-in-love-with-your-best-friend trope, even when one friend doesn't feel the same.

My favorite part was the MC's sarcastic grandfather, and the relationship the two had with each other. Also of interest was the almost agoraphobic mother, and the military father who wrote the most charming emails. I guess you could say that while I loved the teens in the story, this also had a great supporting cast of adult characters, which was nice to see.

Okay. This book is delightful, though I confess I wish they had spent far more time actually trapped inside of the library. Come on, that's basically a librarian's dream book premise, even though we all probably could have just trapped ourselves in a library for a weekend at some point. However, that would have been far less exciting, probably included doing work, and it would have been absent the presence of a broody almost stranger.

Still, I enjoyed the sweetness of the story, paired up with all the real world issues.

PS: This was the final book I needed to read to complete my 2017 Goodreads Reading Challenging! I can't believe I was almost 42 books behind back in August.

Thank goodness for Audible and Overdrive, so that I can listen while I accomplish other things. I'd never be able to read this much without them.  The best part is that the Goodreads App rained down star confetti, and so I left my phone on that page for almost 10 minutes.

Trapped in a library! Everyone's daydream, no?! Well, this was almost a really cute story, but it didn't quite live up to my lofty expectations. I would have liked more interaction in the library itself! But overall, the story was just as cute and fun as Kasie West's other books; it just didn't quite make the leap from good to great.

Split Second by Kasie West

Summary: "Seventeen-year-old Addie struggles to retrieve her lost memories and makes a startling discovery that challenges everything she's ever known about herself, her family, and her world." 

Split Second is the sequel to Pivot Point by Kasie West, and it's the final installment of the series. I read them fairly close together and it's a good thing I did. It's easy to forget the details of the story. 

I love the characters of these two books more than the actual story-telling. Split Second introduces Connor Bradshaw, and he upped the intensity of the book and the complexity. He was a nice addition! 

However, the story was a bit confusing and forced. Oh well! I still enjoyed both books and will continue to read all of Kasie West's books!

I love Kasie West's books, and I devoured Pivot Point. Her books are so fun and easy to read. Kasie is really good at building friendships and relationships between her characters. I also appreciate the humor that peppers all of her books. It's a nice relief! 

Some of the sci-fi elements of this book was a little confusing, especially telekenetic football...it just didn't make sense. But, I did enjoy the similarities to Maybe In Another Life - the dual life format is thrilling!

Another cute and fun story by Kasie West! Gia also goes through some serious friend and family issues, and I wish that they had been resolved within the book! Kasie West ends her stories way too quickly!

On the Fence is a short, sweet read; a book I probably would have loved as a teenager. I was a little too short to cram everything in, so certain storylines seemed a bit rushed. I liked the characters, but I wanted more of them!

This is cute and quirky, and I have become rather fond of this author. She writes characters who are flawed but lovable, and I enjoy that.

In this story, Gia's friends think she's lying about her very real college boyfriend, so when he breaks up with her in the parking lot at prom, she begs a stranger to be her fill-in boyfriend for just one night. She can't stand the idea that her friends think she's a liar, and she is fixated on proving them wrong. The problem is, when he fake breaks-up with her shortly after the charade begins, she kind of misses him. Romantic madness ensues.

I read this novel after picking up and enjoying a different story by Kasie West. She's a great writer who really draws you into the characters and stories, particularly on an emotional front. I like that, so while I don't typically read a ton of YA romance (this one is wealthy boy meets poor girl with a sick mom), I think I might try everything else by this author. They say every good story has already been told before, but somehow, she makes them seem fresh again.

This is an adorable, heartfelt YA story that is easy to consume in one read. It's boy next door vs. tomboy with a tragic back story and 3 older brothers. There's nothing especially new in this story line, but at the same time, the book still feels lovable and refreshing and addresses emotions and worries that teens often face (and adults too). I enjoyed reading it.
