"Lion Hearted" by Sommer Marsden

It took me a while to finish this book because it just did not hold my attention.  Tryg is a lion shifter and enforcer of his pride.  He's also an outcast because he is gay.  But when two shifters go missing, apparently through abduction, Tryg follows the clues and sets off after them.  He takes Luke, an empath with him, and together they follow the missing shifters' scents to Divination Falls, where they encounter a weird creature that could kill them both.  This could have been much more interesting if the characters had been fleshed out better and the tale wasn't so meandering.  167 pages (Kindle edition).
