The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

All of the imagery with the fig tree... I relate to it so much, and the way that she suffers from her depression.
I'm trying to decide if Esther is bipolar or has schizophrenia. I ca't help but compare it to A Beautiful Mind because of the treatment methods.
