Lydia and her thirteen-year-old son, Sam, are banished to Wyoming after Lydia misbehaves, embarrassing her father who holds the purse strings. The hope is the remote location will help keep the two of them out of trouble. It doesn't work.The book deals with a lot of important topics:dysfunctional families, drugs and alcohol, self-esteem, teen sex and teen pregnancy, . When reading the review for this book, I thought it was described as a rollicking, funny, sometimes sad, coming of age story. Turns out the first word was really raunchiest. 416 pages.
