The partner of PI Bill Smith has been kidnapped, and Bill is led through a series of baffling clues placed throughout New York City, purporting to lead to his partner. Along the way, it becomes clear that the kidnapper is losing control, so time becomes more precious and Bill and his unlikely band of helpers must rely on the wonders of modern technology to find the bad guy and rescue his partner.
