The Gods of Guilt by Michael Connelly
Lincoln lawyer Mickey Haller learns that a prostitute he defended years ago has been murdered and the accused, a high-tech pimp, wants Mickey to clear his name. Typically, Mickey isn't too worried about the guilt or innocence of his clients, but rather works to establish reasonable doubt. This time, though, he has a soft spot for both the victim and the accused so he is determined to solve the crime and let justice prevail . An entertaining courtroom drama. 400 pages.
