Mom is away for a few days, leaving Dad in charge. Before
she goes, she gives Dad instructions, one of which was to pick up milk. But
come morning, there is no milk! No milk for the children’s toastios, which
didn’t seem to concern Dad much. But when it was pointed out that there was no
milk for his tea, he set right out for the grocers to get some.
Dad was gone, and gone, and gone some more. When he came
home, he had a fantastical tale of a silver disc that scooped him up into the
sky, where he was rescued from the aliens by a stegosaurus in a time-traveling
Floaty-ball-person-carrier (Dad thinks it’s a balloon). He and the stegosaurus
are assaulted by wumpires, almost sacrificed to the volcano god Splod, made to
walk the plank by pirates, and finally rescued by the space police.
A fun fantasy tale for 3-6 years and older folks with a
spirit of adventure.
