The Selection by Kiera Cass

Summary: "Sixteen-year-old America Singer is living in the caste-divided nation of Illéa, which formed after the war that destroyed the United States. America is chosen to compete in the Selection--a contest to see which girl can win the heart of Illéa's prince--but all she really wants is a chance for a future with her secret love, Aspen, who is a caste below her."

The Selection is the first book in a trilogy by Kiera Cass. It's kind of like The Hunger Games meets the Bachelor. The story starts out a bit slow, but picks up once America (weird name!) finally gets to the castle and meets the Prince. Overall, the book could be a little more developed, but I actually couldn't put it down towards the end. I'm looking forward to reading the next one!
