I have fond memories of this graphic novel series, and often recommend it to others, but I had actually forgotten how the storyline progresses, which made it fun to revisit this. I plan to reread the whole series, since it's impossible to restart it without finishing it.
I still love when it breaks the fourth wall and addresses the audience directly. That could be annoying or disruptive, but it is so well done that it really works in this series.

The side characters are fantastic, and I love how it just hits you suddenly with a dose of magical realism, right out of the blue. The video game nods really make me chuckle, and Scott Pilgrim is so neurotic and awkward that you can't help but be amused.

I really love the randomness, the slacker-vibe, and the backstory. I know that's not for everyone, but it works for me. I also love that the character description boxes pop up more in this one, and I'm still sitting here amused by Scott's continuously disastrous love life.

Wow. I love this one. This series finds its groove more with each new book. I like how the ninja-ing amps up in this one. I enjoy Evil Ex 4 and the purse scene, as well as the dad of Knives.
Honestly, Ramona Flowers is my least favorite character, but she ends up being interesting by default, just through her conversations with Scott and because she brings on the Evil Exes.
