I don't tend to read paranormal titles, but this one caught my eye on the "free list" at Barnes and Nobles, so thought I would check it out. Emma Whitecastle doesn't quite know what to make of her newly revealed gift: she can see and talk to ghosts. But one spirit in particular is persistent in demanding her attention and assistance in solving a 100-year old mystery. The ghost is Emma's great-great-great-grandmother who was reportedly hung by vigilantes for killing her husband. Granny Apples, as she is called, says she didn't do it and wants her name cleared.
