Gone Girl

By Gillian Flynn

432 pages

In a small Missouri town, two displaced New York writers prepare to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.  Then wife Amy vanishes – and gut-punch action and dark plot twists ensue.

It’s hard to write anything about this book without providing spoilers, but I can say Flynn did genuinely surprise me a few times.   I guess I could say I appreciated the book, didn't really like it, but I don't know that liking it what is really what the story requires.
