Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was every level of sweetness that exists and really creative. I love that someone wrote such an accepting world for these LGBTQIA teens.
However, I gave it 4 stars, because some things occurred to help move the plot forward that felt out of character for me. I accepted them, but the end result was that the resolution of those moments felt dishonest to me. These were relatively small moments, but since they were so inherent to the storyline, I got a bit fixated on how wrong they felt for the character, which made me step back from the book a bit and throw up my hands in distrust.
Still, I think this is a charming read, and I would definitely recommend the full cast audio version.
