Track of the Cat: Anna Pigeon Novel, Book 1 by Nevada Barr

SUMMARY: While patrolling Guadaloupe Mountains National Park, Park Ranger Anna Pigeon stumbles on the body of a fellow ranger who appears to have been clawed to death by a mountain lion. But Anna knows appearances can be deceiving, so she conducts her own identification to find the true murderer.

REVIEW: What do you do when you land on Third Person Past Tense as a must-read? Turn to Google for popular books that fit the bill. Track of the Cat was in the top 10. I liked the outdoor nature of the book and the writing was fine, but I just didn’t feel very engaged by the main character.

RATING: 3 out of 5                           PAGES: 276
