Gumballs and Murder: Candy Store Mysteries, Book 1 by Wendy Meadows

SUMMARY: Margaret and her son, Zach, leave the big city to open a candy store in a nice, small, quiet town. It doesn’t take long, though, for Margaret to find herself investigating the murder of a neighbor. Guess small town life isn’t quite so quiet after all.

REVIEW: The writing is at an elementary level with stilted dialogue and an unrealistic plot. I'd skip this one unless you want a quick read to pass the time.

RATING: 2 out of 5           PAGES: 116
