SUMMARY: Valentine Beaumont is a beautician and
owner of a failing salon. When one of her customers dies while in a backroom
awaiting a facial, everyone in the shop is considered a suspect. As Valentine
gets closer to discovering the murderer, she finds her life in jeopardy and
turns to Detective Romero for protection and perhaps a little romance.
REVIEW: A pleasant enough read, but I wasn’t
impressed enough with the series to move onto book 2.
